Pleasant Grove, Mary Brown and More from Log Cabin Quilter

I have some pictures to share with you of some projects that are in the works.  The first picture is a 30 inch square applique block for the "Austin Bluebird Sampler" which is a pattern set by Minnick and Simpson.


Next is a block for the "Celebrating Mary Brown" quilt that myself and some blog friends are all making.  I enjoy selecting the fabrics for the blocks which is probably my favorite part of quilt making.  I haven't counted how many blocks I have completed for the quilt but I know there are still many to go.  A delightful ...

February Update - Mary Brown and More from Log Cabin Quilter

The end of February and time for a "Celebrating Mary Brown" update.  A lot going on in this block.  Three birds and the squirrel.  I enjoyed selecting fabrics for the birds.



A finished quilt made from a Jo Morton pattern.  The top was made in 2019 so not a long held unfinished project.  The name of the quilt pattern is "Parkersburg" and found in the book done with Kim Diehl called "Simple Friendships".  The blocks were enlarged a bit for a more useable quilt size.


The second quilt finish is "Home to  American Quiltmakers".  The pattern is by Lori Smith ...

December "Mary Brown" Update from Log Cabin Quilter

I have had my "Celebrating Mary Brown" block done but had not taken a picture of it and onto a blog post.  In this block, I like the stripe flower best of any of them.


I am working on a Jan Patek design along with a quilting friend (non-blogger).  The pattern is "Pleasant Grove Primer".  I have some parts done and am sharing a picture but this is not the actual layout of the blocks.
